An Untitled Poem

Riding under blue-burnt rain

falling on umber back and mane

heaven pour your manna sweet

upon our tongues and naked feet.

Fill the body, baptismal rain

in sheeted fury enfold our flame

your tactic wind in angel consent

bears desert spice from earthen wet.

Rose-blue this sky, shepherd rain-

your east and west now rainbow-tamed

now gallows dusk turns monochrome

and signals both heart and soul to home.
