From June 15th through September 1st, 2017 registered players competed in a 10-week “digital scavenger hunt” finding the hidden books appearing in YouTube videos from best-selling author, Carew Papritz. Every week a $50 Amazon gift card bonus prize was awarded to the first player to find a bonus search item. There were a total of 5 main prize contest winners and 10 bonus prize winners over the course of the hunt. The first five participants to find all five books won the grand prizes.

During the course of the 10 weeks, Papritz released two videos each week on his YouTube channel. Hidden away were specially-marked versions of his award-winning inspirational book, The Legacy Letters, in 5 of his 20 lively videos. The hunt was designed to promote literacy and also help charity. 100% of the profits from every purchase of  The Legacy Letters made during the 10 weeks of Carew’s first-ever YouTube Scavenger Hunt were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
