In January 2014, Carew Papritz become the first independently-published author to digitally sign a book. Arriving on horseback at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Tucson, Arizona, he uploaded a signed edition of The Legacy Letters in front of a large crowd while still in the saddle. Papritz also signed hardcover copies of his book while still on his horse, “Boots” (the same horse he was married on 15 years earlier).
